- The versatility of new porcelain floor tiles makes anything possible; the technical performance of existing materials can even be improved upon, as is the case with Coralina. Coralina is inspired by corallinerock, which forms in reefs from fossilized coral. The original rock is porous and brittle, so we here at Bellacasa wanted to improve it; we transformed it into porcelain, endowing it with all the features of a porcelain tile, thus making it stronger and eliminating its porosity, while still maintaining its natural beauty.
