Tile of Spain continued its 2019 CEU and networking series at Chef Jose Andres’s Mercado Little Spain In New York City for a truly authentic Spanish experience.
The event was held on the morning of November 7th, 2019 in the Spanish Diner an all-day restaurant. Adorned with tile by Tile of Spain manufacturer, Vives, vibrant floral tile covered the walls, while a contrasting look of industrial tile graced the floor of the diner.
Local architects, editors, and interior designers were invited to network, dine and explore Little Spain’s Mercado.
Home to diverse restaurants and kiosks, The Mercado instantly submerges visitors deep into the culture of Spanish architecture, tapas, drinks, desserts and more! Like the Diner, the Mercado provided guests with a visual extravaganza of Vives tile.
After perusing through the Mercado, attendees were guided back into the Diner to enjoy a bountiful Spanish breakfast. The menu featured an array of items including Paleta Iberica, Butifarra con Mongetes y Aliolo, Bikini Cuatro Quesos, Xuixos, Trenza Chocolate, Jugos and much more.
With breakfast served, Tile of Spain Consultant and Ceramic Tile Specialist, Ryan Fasan presented “Ceramics for Life” an educational CEU. The presentation explored prevailing consumer design trends, buying behaviors, and benefits of ceramic tile followed by a Q & A session.
Thank you to Mercado Little Spain for hosting and all of our guests who helped create such a memorable event.
