Spanish tile manufactures are preparing to travel to Bologna, Italy next week to attend CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. Now in its 39th year, the annual exhibition celebrates standout furnishings, surfaces, advancements and trends in the bathroom sector.

This year, 69 companies belonging to The Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturer’s Association (ASCER) will showcase their latest range of ceramics during the weeklong show that takes place from September 26th -30th. This extraordinary representation of companies reflects the Spanish ceramic sector’s commitment to their national and international audience as well as promote the latest innovations, advancements and trends in Spanish tile production and design.
During the 2022 edition, CERSAIE has confirmed the participation of more than 600 companies from 136 different countries, with Spain sending the second largest group of exhibitors, behind Italy. Throughout the week, approximately 62,000 attendees are expected to traverse the exhibit space in-person, with a digital experience of show activities to take place through October 7th.
For the 2022 edition of the show, ASCER has developed an interactive micro-website, http://tileofspain-cersaie.com/, where visitors can browse the directory of exhibiting Spanish companies, review booth locations, explore product details and access company contact information. Current State of the Industry
During the six months of 2022, the Spanish tile industry has experienced a 26.8% increase in exports compared to this time in 2021 with sales in 182 countries worldwide. 50.8% of exports occurred in European countries, 39.7% of which went to EU member countries. Particularly noteworthy is exports to the U.S. which tops the list of Tile of Spain’s export markets accounting for 27.4% of this year’s current sales.
